Directives for the Operation of Online Class

Preamble:

Present ‘Directives for the Operation of Online Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020′ has been issued to enforce the provision to conduct the pedagogical program effectively through the application of modern technology such as virtual class formally via Internet and On-line with the chief concern for the registered teaching staff and pupils of United Academy/ School/ College unable to pursue their educational operations in the physical classroom even in the unfavourable circumstances.

Annexe 1

Preliminary

1. Name and Introduction in brief:

1.1. The title of the scripture shall be “Directives for the Operation of Online Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020”.

1.2. “Directives for the operation of On-line Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020” shall come into effect from the date ratified by the Committee of the Board of Directors.

2. Definition:

Unless the subject and content mean otherwise in this scripture.

2.1. “School/ College” means United Academy College Pvt. Ltd. and United School inclusively.

2.2. “Online” means internet operated by electrical – electronic aided gadgets.

2.3. “Regulations” means United Academy College Regulations 2018 (2075 BS).

Annexe 2

Provision for the Online Classes

3. Class – Conduct:

3.1. Classes for the registered pupils of United School and College shall be conducted via Online.

3.2. As per sub-clause (3.1) Individual subject teachers shall receive permission for the Online Class from the authority of School/College. The Online Class hereby shall run through the prescribed medium on the scheduled time.

Clarification: For the provision of the clause(3), the individual subject teacher shall remain accountable to acknowledge the description of subject and time whereas the authority of School/College, while granting permission, shall avail UserName and Password to the concerned subject teacher.

3.3. The concerned subject teacher, during the Online Class, shall have to circulate the teaching essentials to the students.

3.4. The subject teacher, assigning the Online Class, shall be liable to maintain an equal opportunity for the students to understand the subject matter.

3.5. The concerned subject teacher, during the On-line Class, shall not be allowed to involve in any non-academic, confidential gossip and unsound activities, otherwise, (s)he shall remain suspended and even relieved from the due service immediately if found guilty in the illicit act.

3.6. The teachers shall have to strictly follow disciplinary guidelines issued by the administration of School/College.

The Role and Liability of students during On-line Class

4. The Role of Students:

4.1. All reasonable students shall have been admitted in the On-line Class five(5) minutes before the scheduled time for the class to make educational pursuit effective and useful.

4.2. The students shall be liable to maintain disciplinary norms and values with the attentiveness to the subject teacher during the On-line Class irrespective to absurd, matter and manner, students shall put their questions/queries with the permission of the teacher.

4.3. Students shall have to submit the respective assignment in the instructed format.

4.4. Students shall remain liable to use their User ID, Password and Profile Picture for the regular and respective Online Class. It remains mandatory for each student to keep “Video On” or “Enable” during the On-line Class.

4.5. Students shall be well confirmed in advance about the peaceful place and proper internet condition before the entry to the Online Class.

4.6. Students shall remain strictly prohibited to entertain other social sites and games irrespective of subject – matter during the On-line Class.

4.7. Students shall be firmly restricted to tamper User Name, Password, ID Hack to create, to send or to exchange adulterous messages, morbid video individually or collectively.

4.8. Students individually or in a group shall not be allowed to harass anyone through illicit activities such as sending offensive manner and materials in video or audio and even objectionable pictures.

4.9. Students shall remain liable to keep their own Username and Password confidential.

4.10. Students shall not create a screenshot or record during Online Class.

Annexe 4

Penalty

5. Conditions defining penalty to students:

Student(s) shall be deemed to have been suspended for a few days with the information to the parents if their ward –

5.1. comes into On-line Class late; creates mess or disturbance to on-going class; does not pay attention to study as per a report by the complaint of the subject teacher.

5.2. overhears the teachers instructions; does not keep Video-on during the On-line Class; nor even does the assignment.

5.3. interrupts the class without due permission of the subject teacher; be active on the other social sites and game during the current class.

5.4. be found guilty in violating the prohibitory instructions as per directives.

6. Students shall be deemed to have been expelled from the On-line Class as per nature of violation if (s)he –

6.1. unofficially uses or tampers the User ID, Password and Profile Picture of other (fellow) students.

6.2. sends or exchanges morbid message(s), offensive content(s), objectionable picture(s)/video(s) and even involves in the illicit act(s). As per the serious nature of the crime, the Administration of School/College shall handover the student involved in the forbidden activities to the Police.

6.3. be involved in any illicit activity with ill motive through misuse of any others’ User ID, Password and Profile Picture. The administration of School/College shall hereby handover the violator(s) to the Police.

6.4. Criminal Suit shall be filed to the Police Administration against the misdemeanour – student for Cyber Crime violating the current law of Nepal entitled “Electronic Transactions Act – 2007” also known as “Vidyutiya Karobar Ain – 2063 (BS)”.

Miscellaneous

7. Other Miscellaneous Concerns:

7.1. About conducting the On-line Classes operated and permitted by the School/College administration, any potential hindrance or difficulty not included or envisioned in the present “Directives for the Operation of On-line Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020” in due course of enforcing but appeared with the pace of changing time, context and technology shall be removed and resolved by the decision of the Committee of the Board of Directors as per need updated.

7.2. For the implementation of the provision as codified in the present ” Directives for the Operation of On-line Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020″ therein, any amendment and additional supplementary agreement(s), as well as the repeal of any clause as felt necessary, shall be introduced, proposed, decided and thereby ratified by the due Committee of Board of Directors. The provision in the present “Directives for the Operation of On-line Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020” imbibed official seal shall come into implementation.

7.3. Rules shall be formulated with accord to facilitate On-line Class as declared in the present “Directives for the Operation of On-line Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020”.

7.4. The operational activities concerning the On-line Classes before the implementation of this present “Directives for the Operation of On-line Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020” shall comply with the spirit of the present “Directives for the Operation of On-line Class to the pupils of United Academy/ School/ College, 2020” hereby issued.
